Let's see what's in bloom this week at Grandmothers' Garden, shall we?
The pond is lined with yellow irises.
Those pretty purple flowers from last month have turned into fuzzballs.
I'm not sure what these are, but they remind me of sweetpeas.
Yellow roses are opening up.
Those teeny grapes are getting bigger.
I'm not sure what these are either, but they're pretty.

Happy Memorial Day
I went to the parade in downtown Westfield this morning, where people gathered to honor those who have served their country, especially those who gave their lives for it.
It was nice to see such a large crowd turn out for the veterans. It was perfect weather for a parade, too!

Stanley Park photowalk
I met a few friends at Stanley Park today, to show them one of my favorite places, and to take a lot of pictures. The weather held, despite some threatening clouds, and we explored the many nooks and crannies of this lovely park.
The irises are out in force!
There were also a couple of roses blooming.
We saw rhododendrons of all different colors.
Here is the waterfall from above and below:
There were chipmunks everywhere, and boy are they quick!
We saw tadpoles in the frog pond, too.
One of my friends found the covered bridge charming.
The mill is always picturesque, as is the meetinghouse.
Oh, the peonies! Magical.
On the wildflower path, we found yellow lady's slippers.
This mayapple blossom was being munched on by a little green caterpillar.
I don't know what these are, but I love their little bell-like shape and pink stripes.
Just a couple more!
What a neat place. Soon, it will be full of roses!
